Tebasaki Chicken Wings
Ingredient:
12 pieces chicken wings
1 cloves garlic
2 tablespoon sake
2 tablespoon mirin
2 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons potato starch
Canola Oil to cook chicken wings
Sprinkle of ground black pepper and sesame seeds to serve
Direction:
1. Make sauce by adding sugar, sake, mirin, soy sauce, and grated garlic in a small pan. Cook over the medium heat for 1 minute to allow alcohol to evaporate. Let it cool.
2. Pat wings dry. Season them lightly with seasoned salt then dredge lightly in potato starch.
3. Pour oil into a pan. Heat to 175℃ (350℉).
4. Fry chicken 7-9 minutes until browned.
5. Drain on a wire rack.
6. Transfer fried wings to a large bowl. Pour sauce over the them and toss to coat.
7. Sprinkle black peppers and sesame seeds to serve.
